Conceptus Ensemble

The multidisciplinary and experimental Conceptus Ensemble is dedicated to great works and song cycles of the 19th and 20th centuries. Its members come from the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Spain, Poland and Australia. The artistic head of the ensemble, which was founded in 2021, is singer and actor Scott Robert Shaw from Perth. The ensemble aims to breathe new life into late romantic works with excursions into the 21st century. The debut album "Gods, Ghosts and Monsters" brought together music by George Butterworth, Gustav Holst, Frank Bridge and Timothy Collins. The latter's song cycle "Die Rilke-Lieder" will be premiered at the Düsseldorf Festival.
