The Australian-Taiwanese violinist Ray Chen is already one of the elite violinists of his time. His meteoric rise began with victories at the Yehudi Menuhin Competition (2008) and the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition (2009). Since then, he has enjoyed cult status not only in his native Taiwan. He has significantly shaped the image of the classical musician in the 21st century. With his media presence, he inspires classical audiences and reaches millions of listeners and followers around the globe. For the charismatic, exceptional violinist, one thing is certain: "Musicians today should be ambassadors for their cause, even away from the stage."

The violinist is celebrating his debut in Regensburg and will be accompanied by the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra Amsterdam. The ensemble consists exclusively of members of the world-famous Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and carries the name of the royal Dutch concert hall throughout the world.
