Contact Improvisation - FLINTA* only

In the organizer's words:

Tuesdays*: Contact Improvisation: Workshop

*Every first Tuesday of the month we dance FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter-, non-binary-, trans- and agender people) only

Movement is language, language means speaking, listening, listening, talking. Together with you, we want to find a space for encounters and conversations through movement. We want to explore the variety of movement possibilities with you, listen to ourselves and each other and find movement together from listening.

Who we are:

We are an open dance group that dances Contact Improvisation together. We are usually between 10 and 25 people of different ages, with different bodies and different dance experiences. The idea of Contact Improv is to discover the diversity of movement possibilities. There are no dance steps that need to be learned - just a few tricks and tips on how to explore your own limits and movement possibilities in contact with another person's body. The instructors help you to learn these tricks. Contact involves an interplay of leading and being led, giving and taking weight, carrying and being carried, rolling, gliding, supporting, jumping, lifting and melting. We want to experiment: with movement, with our bodies, to challenge them while being careful and gentle with ourselves, our bodies and our dance partners.
Each evening is a self-contained workshop followed by a jam. Open to all levels, whether beginner or advanced.

Please bring along: Water, comfortable clothes (we dance barefoot), change of clothes (we sweat)

No previous experience necessary.
