Another special weekend full of gypsy swing and jazz violin in Würzburg: the INSWINGTIEF quartet invites you to the table again!

This time the star guest is the Dutch jazz violinist Tim Kliphuis. The musician and composer, internationally acclaimed as "Grappelly's successor" (quote from Nigel Kennedy), will be giving a one-day workshop and master class! Kliphuis inspires internationally with his energetic playing, rousing improvisations and his respectful but modern approach to the Reinhardt/Grappelly repertoire. Stylistically confident, virtuosic, melodically advanced but never losing sight of tradition, Tim is an experienced workshop teacher who has been passing on his skills for years at the "Grappelly-Django Camp" he founded and at various music academies, conservatories and master classes worldwide!

We are proud to have him in Würzburg! On Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 19:00, INSWINGTIEF & Tim Kliphuis will give a joint concert followed by an open Gypsy Jam Jazz Session in the cellar Z87. A rousing menu will be served in the spirit of jazz violin legend Stephane Grappelly and his heirs. During the day, the musicians will be organizing a joint "jazz string workshop".
