Cora Laguna: Is She Poison?
+ SONIC SUPPORT: DIOSA @tranceformama
+ PERFORMATIVE SUPPORT: SPECIAL GUEST
Cora Laguna invites you to the release party of her new EP Is She Poison?
The concept EP is a solo project by the young Munich artist and sees itself as an auditory exhibition - between electronic sound and personal, fragile moments. Cora Laguna will perform the EP live with audiovisual elements, supported by a special guest. Afterwards, there will be DJ sets by DIOSA @tranceformama until midnight to dance out a little Poison.
At the heart of the EP is the question: Am I the poison - or have I been poisoned? Between self-doubt, social pressure and inner turmoil, Cora Laguna examines how deeply the poison we have ingested affects us - and what this means for how we treat ourselves and others.
Is She Poison? is released on the same day as Poison Girlfriend 's 1992 album Melting Moments - a conscious reference and homage to an artist who had a huge impact on her.
Cora Laguna is a musician and producer who recently completed her studies in audio engineering. She grew up in a small town and now lives in Munich. After several years in nursing, a long process finally led her to music. She has been writing songs since her youth and now works at the intersection of sound, emotion and attitude. The artist's main alter ego is Cora Laguna - she forms the emotional and creative center of the project. She sees herself as a kind of "mother young at heart", from which two other artistic personalities have emerged: HARDCORA, rebellious, loud and queerfeminist, and corazón, introverted, close to nature, with a penchant for melancholy. All three express their feelings through music - in very different but interconnected ways.
Her music blends elements from many different genres: ambient, electronic music, hip-hop, acoustic fragments and much more merge into a sound that the artist describes as a "universe".
Cora Laguna stands for polyphony, radical self-acceptance and artistic openness - politically sensitive, personally interwoven, without allowing herself to be pinned down.
