The US-American-Polish rapper, singer and songwriter Corbin Beckner Smidzik has made a name for himself both under his stage name Spookyblack and his first name Corbin. The musician is also a successful producer and has worked for artists such as Future, NAV, Dua Saleh and SONNY. His own sound draws on the worlds of alternative R&B and mixes them with cloud rap, electronic music and new wave sounds to create ethereal tracks such as "Without You", "crtl alt del" and "Diazepam", while his most successful single to date, "ICE BOY", stands out with its playful beats. On April 3, 2025, Corbin released his latest album "Crisis Kid", which includes the track "Clown On Stage" and lets the artist's sound drift into quiet retro spheres. Corbin is coming to Europe in September this year and will also be performing live in Berlin and Cologne in September.

In 2013, Corbin released his debut mixtape under the alias Spooky Black and became part of the hip-hop group Thestand4rd in 2014. At this point, he was already building up a large audience on SoundCloud and YouTube, which became aware of him mainly due to the viral success of his song "Without You", while the track was described by Noisey as an "instant classic". In December 2014, he changed his stage name to Corbin. His debut album "Mourn" was released in 2017, with "ICE BOY", "Mourn " and "Hunker Down" being his biggest hits. In 2021, he released the album "Ghost with Skin", which stood out with indie influences and moved further away from the artist's R&B and cloud rap roots. On his latest album "Crisis Kid" , Corbin takes another step towards the new wave aspect of his music and devotes himself more to vocals, which stand out in a post-punk manner with washed-out guitars and electronic beats ("Carbon Monoxide" & "Curse Of Creation").
