Corinna Mayer: Im Herzzentrum der Maschine

In the organizer's words:

At Studio West, Corinna Mayer is exhibiting a selection of pictures from a group of works on the theme of man and machine. Created between 2017 and 2025, they show figures inspired by art, pop and lifestyle on bizarre machines that seem to push their way into the center of the collage-like composition, as if all attention were focused on them. It is a look into the complex interior of the human being, in which the conscious and the unconscious, the experienced and the dreamed, the past and the present come together to form a new reality.

Corinna Mayer's art encompasses painting, drawing, mural painting, installation, text, song and performance. Her two-dimensional works have been exhibited nationally as well as in Italy, Austria, Spain and South Korea. She has received numerous scholarships, including the Künstlerhaus Balmoral and a studio scholarship from the city of Frankfurt am Main. In the 1990s, she studied there at the Städelschule under Hermann Nitsch. She lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.
