"Welcome to the opening of the first survival clothing store for the Global South. The first salon with a make-up offer against disappearance."

Laura Uribe and Sabina Aldana have been working artistically on the disappearance of people in Mexico since 2018. When they began, the number of disappeared people was around 32,000; today it is over 127,000. The installation poses the question of how we can go beyond the mere artistic examination of this phenomenon in order to find ways of hope for those affected.

Las artistas Laura Uribe y Sabina Aldana trabajan artísticamente desde 2018 sobre la desaparición de personas en México. Cuando comenzaron, la cifra de personas desaparecidas rondaba las 32.000; hoy supera las 127.000. Esta instalación plantea la pregunta de cómo podemos ir más allá de la simple representación artística del fenómeno y abrir caminos de esperanza para las personas afectadas.
