Beer tasting in Düsseldorf's old town

In Düsseldorf, you can celebrate craft beer like nowhere else! Düsseldorf Altbier was already a craft beer before small breweries up and down the country started the revolution against boring TV beers. We take you backstage, show you the ingredients and introduce you to real beer experts - a hoppy look behind the scenes.

What's so special about Düsseldorf's old town? This is where tradition meets modern beer culture. While Zappes serves its famous Altbier from wooden barrels on one side of the street, people are philosophizing about craft beer next door.

What makes the tour so interesting for beer connoisseurs:

• Tour: There are already small samples of local beers on the way between the Uerige brewery and the HOLY CRAFT Beer Bar.
• Brewhouse: At Brauhaus Zum Schlüssel, water from the brewery's own well is still used for brewing and the secret of the best roasted malt is passed down from generation to generation.
• Tasting: The HOLY CRAFT Beer Bar is staffed by beer stewards who have tasted 3,000 different beers over the last three years.
• Street food: So that no one has to start the beer tasting on an empty stomach, Josef's legendary old town snack bar HamHam serves a hearty pork roll. Vegetarian/vegan alternative: French fries.

A trained guide will provide you with plenty of specialist and bragging knowledge along the way, give you an overview of current beer trends in the Old Town and give you insider tips on where to go with your friends after the tour.
