CSD‐Hocketse und ‐Infomeile

Mostly good weather, an overwhelming number of visitors, a great atmosphere on two squares and a full Kirchstrasse and Stiftstrasse. That was the CSD Hocketse and Stuttgart PRIDE 2024.

The heart of the queer community in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg will continue to beat here in 2025 . On July 26 and 27, the motto will once again be: "Stages free" on Marktplatz and Schillerplatz. In addition, the CSD information mile will once again be set up in Kirchstraße with information and offers from the community for the community and all visitors.

From Saturday lunchtime to Sunday evening, people will once again be strolling, celebrating, watching and, above all, informed.

Cultural stage meets open-air disco

In addition to the town hall adorned with rainbow flags, the market square will also be home to varied and exciting entertainment. The culture stage on the market square once again has exciting acts in store, which will be announced soon. Content-related contributions on PRIDE, the motto and current LGBTQIA* topics will round off the program.

Schillerplatz attracts visitors with a legendary open-air disco. First-class DJs on the six-meter-high DJ tower will play the greatest possible variety of pop and electronic music.

Stroll and inform

On Sundays, a diverse "Market of Opportunities" connects the two squares and invites you to take a stroll. Numerous initiatives provide information about their mostly voluntary work and their important causes. With a family area in Münzstraße in the direction of the Dorotheen-Quartier, the youngest guests at the CSD Hocketse are also catered for on Sundays.

Well catered for

The culinary offerings are also varied and there is something to suit almost every taste. Drinks and food are available at over 50 stands. Whether hot, cold, sweet, hearty, meaty or vegan - there is something for everyone.

Development of the Hocketse

The term "Hocketse" comes from the Alemannic-Swabian "hocke" for "sit" and literally means "sitting". "Hocket(e)" is the variant from the Swabian Alb, whereas in Swiss German "Hock" describes a "social gathering". At the CSD Hocketse, people squat, stroll, look, chat, eat, drink and watch the performances on the squares and stages from early Saturday afternoon until late Sunday evening on Marktplatz and Schillerplatz as well as in Kirchstraße, Stiftstraße and Münzstraße. Getting to know each other could hardly be easier.
