In his early 20s, Curt Cress became one of the most sought-after and then also the best-paid studio drummer on the planet. Curt was the drummer for Freddie Mercury, Meat Loaf, Peter Maffay, Rio Reiser, Rick Springfield, Scorpions, Spliff, Falco, BAP, Alphaville, Udo Jürgens, Peter Schilling, Münchener Freiheit, Milli Vanilli, Nena, Udo Lindenberg and countless other artists. As a musician, he has been named "Drummer of the Year" 15 times, has been awarded several gold records and has recorded an incredible 12,000 recordings on over 400 million records sold.
After his active time as a drummer, he began a no less successful career behind the scenes of the show circus. Curt Cress founds Pilot Tonstudios and becomes a successful producer not only with Uwe Ochsenknecht, but also with Falco, Nina Hagen, Nena, Udo Lindenberg and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.
Today, Curt runs a group of companies specializing in music and media. As a mentor for young drummers, music publisher, producer, record company operator and television and film music composer, Curt continues to be one of the most influential figures in the German music scene.
