CYBORG GENERATION takes the audience into the world of 18-year-old musician Kai Landre and follows the protagonist who - inspired by cyborg artists Neil Harbisson and Moon Ribas - develops a cybernetic organ and wants to implant it into his body. His goal: to achieve a new kind of sensory perception that enables him to hear sounds from outer space on Earth - a vision that radically challenges traditional notions of identity, body and perception. The cinematic journey into the hybrid possibilities between man and machine raises questions about the human per se and expands identity politics and the dimensions of queerness. A tender, unusual film about growing up, a quest for the best self, against all normativity.
