The three are colorful dogs in the Bavarian music scene: The Upper Bavarian Sebastian Horn, frontman and lyricist of "Dreiviertelblut" and "Bananafishbones" is known for his unique bass voice and his black humor. Mathias Kellner from the Upper Palatinate is one of Bavaria's best-known singer-songwriters. His unmistakable, powerful voice and his almost inexhaustible repertoire of world hits, which he translates into Bavarian, form the cornerstone of this crazy combo. The multi-instrumentalist Otto Schellinger from Lower Bavaria (accompanist for Claudia Koreck, Nick Woodland, among others) completes this anarchic Bavarian band.

They don't mince their words here, neither in their announcements nor in their interpretation of Bavarian hits. An 80s New Wave version of Fredl Fesl competes with the new version of Hans Söllner's cult song "Marihuanabaam" - the live version on TikTok has well over 200,000 views. Hit after hit is ruthlessly ripped off ("Wei I Di mog", "Resi, I hoi di mit meim Traktor ob") or sung into the sky with a loving wink ("Nix mitnehma", "Frosch im Hois"). It doesn't matter whether the band is worshipping the hits of the world or making fun of them. It is always done honestly and lovingly, tears of laughter and joining in are the order of the day.

Whether at the Landesgartenschau or the Munich Schlachthof, people are amazed and delighted. Humor beyond the waistline that doesn't hit the mark, but goes straight to the heart. D'Bavaresi offers an evening in which the hand held out is used for thigh-slapping. Guaranteed Bavarian. But real. With shit.
