EMESE KAZÁR WITH VIKTORIA KURNICKI (MILAN) & ANDREA FAJGERNÉ DUDÁS (BUDAPEST)

What is artistic exchange and how does it take place? What is the special appeal of personal encounters in the digital age? Emese Kazár explores these questions in her project DA MESSINA* based on her examination of the work of the Renaissance artist Antonello da Messina. Kazár undertook a journey to Italy in the footsteps of the painter. She also invited two artists - Viktoria Kurnicki (Milan) and Andrea Fajgerné Dudás (Budapest) - to reflect artistically on the theme of exchange. The result of the collaboration and the experiences of the trip will be summarized in a publication, which the artists will present in conversation with Dr. Ingmar Lähnemann, Director of the Städtische Galerie Bremen.
