DANCING PINA celebrates the art of the famous choreographer Pina Bausch and the people who dedicate themselves to her work today.

Two pieces, two continents, two dance worlds: The time-honored Semperoper in Dresden, Germany, and the École des Sables in a fishing village near Dakar, Senegal. The spectacular projects of the Pina Bausch Foundation show how a young generation of dancers from all over the world is rediscovering Pina's choreographies under the guidance of former dancers from her company.

A fascinating metamorphosis: while the dancers from street dance, classical ballet and traditional and contemporary African dances change Pina's work, Pina's choreographies change the dancers. DANCING PINA shows the universal power of dance, where bodies, identities and biographies meet.
