Daniela Dröscher und Monika Rinck: Die Backstage eines Buches

In the organizer's words:

Does a poem, a story, a novel write itself? How many changes, revisions, even completely new versions might it take before an author submits a manuscript to a publisher? And what happens when it goes through the editing process? As authors themselves, Wolfgang Schiffer and Dinçer Güçyeter know such (working) processes well enough, but curious as they are, they also want to read stories about them from their writing colleagues. For this reason, they have asked German-speaking authors from all genres to tell them about their experiences with a specific title they have chosen from their previous work. The result is 21 backstage stories that are literarily diverse, personal and extremely informative, allowing readers a glimpse into the "engine room" of literary creation that the work itself rarely offers.
