...this is how we know and love the Überseefestival, which has established itself as an integral part of Bremen's open air scene for 17 years now.

Starting out as the association's summer festival, the Überseefestival has developed into one of the most important free and open-air events on the Bremen scene. True to the motto "by musicians for musicians", the festival is largely organized by the members of Musikszene Bremen e.V. on a voluntary basis.

Having always focused on bands with Bremen roots when selecting the performers, the organization team decided a few years ago to make the motto "100% Bremen" their leitmotif. The large proportion of up-and-coming bands from all genres in the line-up remains true to this motto. This makes the festival a kind of showcase for the local Bremen music scene in terms of its supra-regional perception. The more than 100 applications we receive every year show just how diverse this scene is.

With the motto 100% Bremen, we have been presenting bands exclusively from Bremen or with Bremen connections for years.

The application deadline for 2025 is also March 31 at festival@musikszene-bremen.de
