Comedy by Lars Albaum and Dietmar Jacobs
The ossified toilet seat manufacturer Hubertus Heppelmann is stranded in the dull provincial town of San Miguel. He was actually on his way to see his vacationing lawyer, because the matter is urgent: After 25 years, Heppelmann's miserable marriage is to come to an end, and only because he forgot his silver wedding anniversary and his wife made the scene of his life. That's enough for the stiff grump and grumbler.
But a car breakdown and a southern work ethic ("No no amigo, no belt wedge there") land him in a flophouse in the small village of San Miguel, somewhere in the no man's land of the Pampas. The Spanish waiter Juan gets on his nerves with the old story about the "Miracle of San Miguel" and his Spanish mentality.
To make matters worse, the hotel is completely overbooked and Hubertus has to share a lousy hotel room with Nelli, a student who has got stuck hitchhiking. Two life concepts collide head-on, causing sparks to fly, and the unbelievable happens ...
The comedy of the situation is taken to the extreme when Hubertus' wife and Nelli's boyfriend turn up.
The team of authors Lars Albaum and Dietmar Jacobs, who are among the writers of successful TV series such as "Stromberg" and "Das Amt", have created a fast-paced interplay full of turbulence and unexpected twists.
