Das Comeback des Jahres – „I love you“

In the organizer's words:

From May 1 to May 6, the three Mülheim artists Vera Keysers, Dominika Szyszka and Isabelle Klasen will be showing current works from the fields of painting and photography.

The title "I Love you" is the bracket that loosely ties the different artistic positions together. The works examine relationships, closeness and attachment from different perspectives.

In her works,Vera Keysers explores the relationship between painting and photography. The works are based on private, photographic snapshots whose mere motif is expanded by painting.

Dominika Szyszka: "I Love You. All kitschy and hackneyed. Hollywood movies. Movies in general. Fantasy, wish lists and childish dreams of growing up. A brief moment, a postcard. 'No moreI love you's.' FAKE."

Isabelle Klasen is a self-confessed weekend artist. The works on display were therefore created in a longer process.
