Three novel debuts will be presented in the Debutante Salon and you, dear guests, will choose your favorite at the end of the event.
Florentine Anders is the granddaughter of Hermann Henselmann, the most important and dazzling architect in the GDR. Her novel "Die Allee" is a gripping family story, a panorama of the times and a portrait of two emancipating women all rolled into one.
In "Kaltblut", Wolfgang Maria Bauer tells the story of the love between two outsiders and the grueling power of a small village in the mountains in an atmospherically dense and exciting way. A captivating literary reading experience full of power and laconic beauty.

In Annegret Liepold's debut, Franka returns to her repressed youth in the noughties, when she is in danger of slipping into the right-wing scene. A novel about a youth in the countryside caught between the longing to belong, radical anger and the blind spots of one's own family.

About the authors:

Annegret Liepold, born in 1990, studied comparative literature and political science. She received numerous awards for her debut novel "Unter Grund", including a literary scholarship from the City of Munich and an invitation to the 15th Writing Workshop of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and the Novel Workshop of the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus Berlin. In 2022 she was a finalist in the open mike. She works for the "Bavarian Academy of Writing" at the Literaturhaus München.

Wolfgang Maria Bauer, born in 1963, has been working as an actor on the major stages since 1990: Residenztheater Munich, Burgtheater Vienna, Berliner Ensemble, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. He also plays numerous roles in TV and cinema, including five years as chief inspector "SISKA" in the ZDF crime series of the same name. He was, among other things, actor of the year ("Theater heute") and received the Bavarian State Prize as a playwright and radio playwright. Bauer works as a director and drama director and lives on Lake Starnberg.

Florentine Anders, born in 1968, is the granddaughter of the Henselmanns. She studied in Leipzig and Paris before graduating from the Centre de Formation des Journalistes (CFJ) journalism school in Paris and working as a freelance journalist in France and Germany. She has written for various newspapers and is currently an editor at Studio ZX, a Zeit Verlag company. She has been a board member of the Hermann Henselmann Foundation since 2022.
