READING & TALK
With the author CHRISTINE KOSCHMIEDER
In a third of all women, a pregnancy ends - usually in the first three months - with a so-called miscarriage. Although this experience is closely linked to the social, political and societal conditions of womanhood and motherhood, it is rarely discussed in private or public discourse. Christine Koschmieder examines the reasons for this gap and argues for a feminist approach to a topic that concerns everyone.
On this evening, she will present her essay on feelings of guilt and shame, current reactionary tendencies in politics and society and blind spots in the fight for reproductive rights. "Das F-Wort" was published as MaroHeft #18 with drawings by Theresa Hügues in March 2025 by MaroVerlag.
CHRISTINE KOSCHMIEDER is an author and translator. Kanon Verlag recently published her novels "Dry", "Frühjahrskollektion" and "Schambereich. Talking about sex". | christinekoschmieder.de
