This remake of the Erich Kästner classic tells the story of 13-year-old Martina (Leni Deschner), who receives a scholarship to an elite boarding school in the South Tyrolean Alps. As soon as she arrives, she finds herself in the middle of a long-simmering conflict between boarding school children and village youth. Together with her new friends, she wants to build bridges with a play - but that's easier said than done.
