Jeanne has just found out that her school has been voted one of the top ten worst educational institutions in the country when the principal of the same school orders her to stand for election as student representative. To do penance for her vandalism of an advertising poster. At the end of the "Week of the Future" that the principal has just proclaimed, she has to give a speech against her competitors. Admittedly, the competition is not great: Olivier, who would rather save the whole planet than just the problem school, and Mike, whose slogan "Pizza for everyone" turns out to be the perfect populist election advertisement. Faced with the seductiveness of their classmates and confronted with the lack of advice and direction from the adults from whom they had hoped for support, Jeanne and Olivier discover the power of friendship and solidarity.

With the production "The Weight of the Ants (Le poids des fourmis)", the Hans Otto Theater is continuing its cooperation with the Filmhochschule Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Director Catharina Fillers brings the fast-paced tragicomedy by Canadian author David Paquet about the challenges of personal commitment and the importance of solidarity to the stage with an ensemble of six students in the Reithalle.
