Jeanne and Olivier's school is a nightmare. The unmotivated principal couldn't care less that the school is one of the top ten worst in the country. When he installs body-shaming shampoo ads in the toilets to harass the youngsters with "perfect bodies", Jeanne becomes an activist. Olivier, on the other hand, is plagued by constant worries: the climate crisis, corruption, nuclear war and anything else that can cause fear. Despite their initial skepticism, the two become increasingly enthusiastic about the idea of actively shaping their fate and that of their classmates during the school election. However, when Mike's election promise of "Pizza for everyone!" makes their chances of victory seem remote, the unlikely duo join forces. After all, the ants of the world weigh more than all the humans put together. Be strong together!

Deepest world-weariness and fearless humor combine in David Paquet's text to create an incomparable mixture. "The Weight of Ants" is an angry yet life-affirming teen comedy that roars loudly and wittily against the disinterest and apathy of the adult world.
