Do you also have a children's book about a farm? Did you know that farms no longer look like this? How the animals we eat live is often kept secret from children. In the research theater, we want to take a closer look: 700 million chickens are eaten in Germany every year. And then there are the eggs. They are in waffles and ice cream and in many other of our favorite dishes. 43 million chickens lay these eggs. Usually nine of them live on one square meter.
We have now bought three young hens free to get to know them better and have built them a large enclosure in our stage. And instead of giving them a new job straight away, namely as actresses in our theater, we are turning things around and making theater for them. Our children's theater becomes a chicken theater. Children and adults are invited to think with us: What kind of theater might the hens like? Chicken costumes are available in all sizes. And maybe they will lay their first egg out of sheer pleasure. Who knows? After their stay in our theater, they will live on in the Luthergarten in Altona - with plenty of space and fresh air.
Suitable for pre-school children and pupils up to 5th grade. To register visit post@fundus-theater.de or 040 - 250 7270.
