IHME-ZENTRUM - The documentary!
The Ihme-Zentrum in Hanover is considered one of the most controversial urban districts in northern Germany. Large parts of this urban utopia, planned as a city within a city, are now in ruins. Around 2,000 people suffer from its condition and the issue is hotly debated in politics. But why was the building with the largest concrete foundation in Europe built? Why did it fall apart? And how could it be revived? To find out, sustainability expert Constantin Alexander moved in himself in 2014. Together with filmmaker Hendrik Millauer, he embarked on a search. The answer resembles a thriller.
The film was made possible by crowdfunding.
