Three women are picked up on a Western European coast and interrogated by the authorities. They come from Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. What unites them is their flight to Europe - and a newborn baby that is with them.
with them. One by one, they are interrogated by an immigration officer. All applications for entry are rejected. But what happens to the baby? Each woman denies motherhood, the desire to spare the child an uncertain, even life-threatening future is too great. When the official requests a DNA test, the translator intervenes.

This gripping play by Iranian author Naghmeh Samini, who advocates peace and equal rights for all people, has been brought to the stage by director Afsaneh Mahian from Tehran. She works with few theatrical means, which she uses to great effect, and with a very strong three-person ensemble. Mahian is the founder of the Shieveh Theatre Company, which has been in existence for over 25 years and whose productions can be seen at festivals all over the world.
