Das lyrische Foyer: „Helligkeitshunger“ (mit Nasima Sophia Razizadeh, Christoph Danne, Musik: Weesby)

In the organizer's words:

The series "Das lyrische Foyer" will not be continued. We would like to thank the inventor, organizer and presenter Fritz Sebastian Konka for many wonderful evenings full of poetry, music and encounters. We hope to see many visitors at the last event.

Nasima Sophia Razizadeh, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1991, is a talented poet who has lived in cities such as Cologne, Vienna and Edinburgh. After studying biology, which she now also teaches, she has established herself on the literary scene. Her texts have received awards from renowned literary houses in Salzburg, Stuttgart and Wuppertal. Her debut work "Sprache und Meer" was published by Matthes & Seitz Berlin in 2023, and her first volume of poetry "Die Goldwaage" will be published by Wallstein Verlag in July 2024.

Christoph Danne, born in Bonn in 1976, is a versatile poet who studied German language and literature in Salamanca, Berlin and Cologne. He was awarded the workshop prize of the Literatur-Atelier Köln (2013) and the postpoetry.NRW prize (2014). Danne is the organizer of the poetry reading stage HELLOPOETRY! and curates the poetry festival Satelliten and the poetry festival Anderland. His most recent volumes of poetry include "Gute Neuigkeiten" (2023) and "Firnis & Revolte" (Corvinus Presse). Danne currently lives in Cologne.
One particular word we come across is "weesby". The Hamburg musician Dorothee Möller discovered it on a street sign while she was working on new songs. "weesby" became synonymous with the playful drive and searching in her pop-artistic departure. Her music explores the in-between states of our existence and draws the audience into her richly detailed pop with bouncy beats and engaging melodies.

The lyrical foyer comes close. To the people behind the artists and the audience. We exchange, analyze and read aloud. The lyrical foyer opens up: Space for forgotten things and moods. Texts flow over and under the skin in search of individual answers. The lyrical foyer offers: Everyone is an artist. The door is open, come in! Your own poems on the theme of the evening can be submitted on the Instagram channel @das_lyrische_foyer. The authors of the three best texts will be invited to perform them during the evening.

Supported by the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS.
