An interactive karaoke talk with Düsseldorf women*

Don't be afraid of off-key tunes! In this joint series of events, kom!ma e.V. and the TMD present Düsseldorf women six times a year who are committed to women's issues in the city in a wide variety of ways. In a wild mixture of talk and a joint karaoke evening, the guests are given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their lives and work. Together with the audience, songs are sung in between that have accompanied the talk guests throughout their lives.

Jawahir Cumar will be the guest in May. At the age of 20, Jawahir Cumar founded the association stop mutilation. Since then, she has worked tirelessly for women and girls who are affected or threatened by female genital mutilation. For this extraordinary commitment, she was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany - the highest award for special services in the social, charitable and humanitarian fields. We are very much looking forward to opening her musical poetry album with this great woman.
