Davina Michelle is one of the most exciting new voices in the pop world - the Dutch singer has long been a household name and is increasingly inspiring fans worldwide. Born in 1996, the singer's musical career began with her participation in the Dutch version of the casting show "Idol" - even though she was eliminated quite early on, she had already won over many hearts. Spurred on by this support, Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn decided to perform under the stage name Davina Michelle and start her own YouTube channel. Her career suddenly exploded with her 2017 viral cover version of the P!NK hit "What About Us". The emotional intensity of her interpretation led P!NK herself to comment in amazement: "This is what my song was supposed to sound like." Millions of people agreed with her, and Davina used the attention to sing her way into the hearts of her fans with a series of hits. In the Netherlands, she secured a permanent place in music history with several number one singles and five platinum awards. Encouraged by these successes, she began writing and releasing more of her own songs in English in 2020 - with great success. Her debut album "My Own World" went gold and won an Edison Award. Further milestones followed: spectacular performances at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in front of 183 million viewers, sold-out shows in her home country and international festival appearances. But Davina Michelle doesn't like to rest on her laurels: In September 2024, she released her second album "Higher", on which she tackles profound topics such as sexual harassment, bullying and the darker side of fame. Instead of concentrating on numerous single releases, she deliberately opted for the expressive form of the album in order to be able to realize her artistic vision in all its depth. Anyone who has experienced Davina Michelle live knows that her shows are unforgettable. With a voice that switches effortlessly between powerful energy and touching softness, she makes every performance unique. Whether at the opening of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Zandvoort or in an intimate concert setting, Davina captivates everyone with her stage presence.
