DAYS OF SORROW: Long gone are the days of the 80's, when the track "Wild World" from the EP Remembering the Days" first hit the dancefloor in the clubs. Now in a new age, Days of Sorrow are back with new album "Soulmate Sister" to revive the feeling and mood of those days. Original band members William Lennox (Vocals) and Andre Schreiber (Bass, Guitar) have teamed up with a friend and former producer of their demos Frank Junge (Keys).
Founded in 1983, days of Sorrow released two EP's on Tollhaus Records (Remembering the Days), Rough Trade (A 1000 Faces) and promoted them on various tours.
After a long musical journey with bands in London and producing in Berlin, William is now back to where Days of Sorrow originally started out from, Dortmund, part of the `former' industrial metropolitan area. Getting back to base and where eventually the cycle closes for the three.
It's all about the music' has always been their maxim and "Soulmate Sister" reflects the connection and constant companionship to Post- Punk, Dark Wave and their own style of music. "It's something you can talk to, talk with and express with, whilst always getting back the vibe and energy. In that respect a great soulmate being on the same wavelength.
It's a journey to the 80's, the post punk era with drum machine beats, arpeggiated keys, chorused bass, bittersweet melodies, and William's charismatic deep voice.
The live performance is vibrating, energy laden, full of rhythm and melodies to dance to.
