The world premiere of Delay the Sadness is Sharon Eyal's return to the Ruhrtriennale - and a physical commitment to vulnerability, closeness and pulsating energy. Strength and fragility meet in a space of light, shadow and vibrating sound. Every movement is an emotion and every gesture a dialog between the individual and the community. Josef Laimon 's electrifying compositions create a dense web of relationships, tension and intimacy. A dance piece like a heartbeat - magnetic, emotional, incredibly sensual.

The Ruhrtriennale is the festival of the arts in the Ruhr region - a celebration for all those who yearn for tomorrow. Touching experiences of music theater, drama, dance and more are created between machine halls and blast furnaces.
