READING AND DISCUSSION WITH THE AUTHOR JULIA FRIEDRICHS

Author Julia Friedrichs has been on the trail of money since the beginning of her journalistic career and has explored the social differences in Germany: she has spoken to members of the elite, to heirs, to the super-rich - and to people who work hard all their lives and yet do not achieve prosperity through their own efforts. Free of polemics, she draws a picture of our country in which excessive wealth is increasingly endangering democracy. Following the inheritance comedy JEEPS by Nora Abdel-Maksoud, Julia Friedrichs will talk to dramaturge Sibylle Dudek about her work and explain why we should talk about money. Ensemble members will also read excerpts from their much-discussed books.
