Two acting stars on the lake stage! Annette Frier, who has played leading roles in countless TV and cinema projects for many years, and Peter Trabner, who is also a sought-after film and TV actor and also delights audiences with brilliant one-man shows, met years ago on the set of the lawyer series "Danni Lowinski". The two hit it off straight away, worked together in two feature films and had always intended to develop a play together. And that is exactly what they are now doing for asphalt! Their topic: democracy - the form of government that until recently seemed so self-evident and untouchable, but is now in danger and in disarray in many places. Frier and Trabner slip furiously into different roles, travel back to ancient Greece and the beginnings of "popular rule", consult the future with an oracle and then return to the present. What did Pericles screw up? What does it take for democracy to succeed? Or would it perhaps be better in the end if some crazy billionaire took over the whole shed?
