For a long time, adults always had the same songs in their ears when they heard children's music. Songs that you hoped you would never have to hear again and, if you did, at least not get an earworm that would eat too deeply into your hearing aids. You wish there was music that wasn't just made for children, but was also listenable and enjoyable for their parents. This is where Deniz & Ove come in. They deliver what other albums promise and then fail to deliver: Music for the whole family!

What makes Deniz & Ove's songs so different and yet allows them to take their place in the world of children's music? On the one hand, it's probably the fact that the two musicians observe the world through the eyes of their inner child and see things that might otherwise never come into focus. Secondly, they dress their observations precisely in the music they have been backing for years. Careful band arrangements that also work for adult fans in the club in the evening.

Stand-up comedian Moritz Neumeier, a self-confessed Deniz & Ove fan, sums up the parental relief and euphoria about the new album "Looping" well:
"Children's music is absolute hell. I know that - I've had to listen to it for years. Christmas songs that make me want to eat speculoos again, soccer songs where I don't understand the names of the players or the jokes at their expense and which eat into my brain stem like computer voices of smurfs, gummy bears or crazy half-naked frogs - I can't do it anymore. Deniz & Ove were a revelation for me. The joy of sharing music with your children, dancing, singing, listening and being a bit of a fan together - that's what I want from children's music. And it was the only concert I've really wanted to go to in the last 12 years and I didn't have to persuade my children for a second - if that doesn't mean anything, I don't know what does."
