Depth Finder & The Elephant – Ein interdisziplinäres Konzert mit dem Ensemble Garage

On June 21, 2025, Ensemble Garage invites you to an interdisciplinary double bill at Stadtgarten Köln. Under the title "Depth Finder & The Elephant", the ensemble, together with composers Giordano Bruno do Nascimento and Lasse Schwanenflügel Piasecki, will present two music-theatrical works that illuminate social issues from different perspectives and make their influence on individual realities tangible. Current techniques and cross-border creative means are used. Giordano Bruno do Nascimento's "Depth Finder (of identities)" encompasses a narrower framework: the individual level with criticism of social norms and the clarification of the effects of collective action. "The Elephant" by Lasse Schwanenflügel Piasecki, on the other hand, critically addresses social space in a broader sense, which in turn has an impact on the individual situation of the protagonists. "Depth Finder & The Elephant" is a multi-layered evening of music, performance and cinema in terms of both sound and content. Contemporary and transgressive.
