Every year,Munich's smallest opera house in the Pasinger Fabrik creates small forms from the famous works of international opera and operetta literature - with great emotional components and closeness to the audience. Rossini's The Barber of Seville, one of the most popular operas of all time, will be performed this summer. In 1816, the 24-year-old Rossini is said to have written his most popular opera to date in just two weeks. The "opera buffa" - with a cast of five performers in Pasing - captivates with its wit, its rousing music including world-famous arias and its turbulent plot.

The music will be performed in an arrangement for the eight-piece orchestra under the proven direction of Andreas P. Heinzmann. In Florian Hackspiel's new version, the audience can look forward not only to the love story between Almaviva and the beautiful Rosina, complete with disguises, deceptions and (very!) unexpected twists and turns, but also to "Figarossini": Inspired by Rossini's life story - the famous composer devoted himself to gourmet food in the second half of his life and was a passionate cook - Hackspiel creates a real factotum who pulls all the strings. In his restaurant "Zum Schwan von Pesaro" , Figarossini invites the audience to his latest production, with puppetry, speed, wit and musical esprit. A feast for the senses, exciting, playful and surprisingly topical - The Barber of Seville as you have never seen it before!
