Crime thriller reading with Josef Rauch to guess along

Franconian private detective Philipp Marlein has a problem: he finds a client who wanted to hire him dead in his office - murdered by a stab wound. And Inspector Anna Jordan, whom he calls in to investigate the case, is not exactly well-disposed towards him and considers him suspected of being the murderer himself. So Marlein investigates on his own to clear himself of any suspicion. The special thing about this case is that the victim was holding Albrecht Dürer's "Melencolia I" in his hand - apparently to give a clue as to who the murderer was. But how can the murder mystery be solved based on this, when this copperplate engraving by Dürer is one of the most mysterious works in art history and is itself full of riddles...?

At the Dürer crime story reading "The Dürer Murder", you can look forward to scenic readings by crime writer Josef Rauch in the Albrecht Dürer House. You will receive information about the crime, about the selection of possible perpetrators and about Albrecht Dürer's copperplate engraving "Melencolia I" - and then you can guess the murderer by correctly deciphering the mysterious symbolism in "Melencolia I", for which there is also a prize to be won at the end.

Josef Rauch lives in the district of Fürth and has been writing crime fiction since 2007. To date, he has published seven crime novels (published by Emons Verlag and others) and a dozen stories (published by Ars Vivendi Verlag and others), in which the Fürth private detective Philipp Marlein is always the protagonist. Josef Rauch is also the organizer of numerous crime fiction readings and crime fiction events (including the "Long Crime Fiction Night" at the Nuremberg Planetarium, which will take place again at the end of October 2024 after a long break due to the pandemic).
