Der FoodHub München zeigt den Film FoodCoop im Monopol Kino

In the organizer's words:

Can a supermarket be successful where you can get good quality food at a reasonable price that is predominantly organic, seasonal and regional? Where you can help determine the assortment according to your wishes and needs and where producers are part of the community and are paid fairly? Where there are no customers, but members who help out for 3 hours a month, thus saving on staff costs? Yes! The Park Slope Food Coop in New York is the most successful cooperative supermarket in the world with 17,000 members and one of the role models for the FoodHub Munich.

Together with the FoodHub Munich and the WERTSCHÄTZEN project of the University of Giessen, the Monopol Kino is showing the film FOOD COOP, which gives us an authentic and humorous insight into the inner workings of the Park Slope Food Coop and its members.

The FoodHub, Munich's first participatory supermarket based on the Park Slope model, is looking for a community in Schwabing to set up a second location.

Following the screening, we invite all guests to a discussion with the FoodHub Munich and Christin von Schönfeldt from the research project WERTSCHÄTZEN at Justus Liebig University Giessen.
