Der Klang des Absprungs – Komödie von Werner Bauer

In the organizer's words:

The lovable, somewhat neurotic Egon earns his living by writing shallow romance novels. Under the pseudonym "Eleonore Rohling", he has written seven novels about his own unhappy love affair, which have delighted millions of readers.

But now it's time to call it a day. With his last book, he wants to make "Eleonore Rohling" disappear and announce to the world that he is the author of the love dramas. For nothing saddens Egon more than the idea that nothing will remain of him when he dies one day.

In the hope of finding a good and truthful ending for his last book, he returns to the place where he met the love of his life: an old, now abandoned hotel on the Baltic Sea.

But the inspiration doesn't quite work out. Surprising encounters and events occur in the hotel that far outstrip the kitschy dramas he had imagined and deter him from his plan.

But eventually Egon discovers a secret that would not only mean a surprising twist for the end of his novel, but also for his own life...
