In 1935, Antoni Benaiges was appointed as a teacher in a small, remote village in Burgos, Spain. There he formed a close relationship with his pupils, who were between six and twelve years old. He makes them a significant promise: He will take them to the sea for the first time in their lives. 75 years later, Ariadna, the granddaughter of one of these students and in search of her grandfather, encounters the fascinating but tragic story of her teacher and the unfulfilled promise behind it. This is based on the true life story of Antoni Benaiges.
