Tchaikovsky's ballet world - it is a world of magic, wonderland and fairy tales. The score to Tchaikovsky's popular Nutcracker is one of the most ingenious and brilliant ever composed for a ballet and is extremely elegant. Famous numbers such as the Waltz of the Flowers, the Waltz of the Snowflakes and the motifs of the Divertissement enchant children and take adults back to their childhood.

The story of the Nutcracker is as Christmassy as the scent of baked apples and the eternal glittering tinsel: the story of children who, on Christmas Eve, are shown faraway lands and distant peoples in a dream by a gift of a nutcracker, enchants young and old again and again as a Christmas ballet.

Here is a very special, wonderful version of this ballet classic for all children aged 4 to 94, created for children but by no means childish! The loving performance is danced with great elegance and sophistication by a top-class ballet ensemble with outstanding international soloists. Colorful costumes and an imaginative stage design promise to enchant every child's heart. The narrator, who guides the audience through the entire performance, deserves a special mention. Catchy little poems full of wit, charm and love captivate young and old alike.
