E.T.A. Hoffmann's "Nutcracker" fairy tale in a new version for a pianist and a ballerina with hand-drawn animations and music by Peter I. Tchaikovsky

Pianist Alexandra Dariescu enchants the audience on Christmas Eve with her new interpretation of the story of Clara from E.T.A. Hoffmann's famous "Nutcracker" fairy tale. We follow her journey from little girl to concert pianist and learn about Clara's courage and her ambition to work hard for her goal and never give up. The story is brought to life by British ballerina Imogen-Lily Ash. Her dance is embedded in animations projected onto a gauze screen. Peter Tchaikovsky's enchanting "Nutcracker" music in a piano version - from the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy to the Waltz of the Flowers - is played in sync with this, complemented by new adaptations by Gavin Sutherland.
