Wes Anderson's ensemble comedy is celebrating its world premiere once again at the Cannes International Film Festival, where THE PHOENIC MASTER STORY is competing for the Palme d'Or. Funded by the German Federal Film Fund and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the film was co-produced and shot at Studio Babelsberg.
In addition to the first-class cast, Oscar® winner Anderson was once again able to rely on proven collaborators, including co-writer Roman Coppola and Oscar®-winning composer Alexandre Desplat. The US director teamed up with Oscar®-nominated cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel(The Fabulous World of Amélie) for the first time for the visual design.
