"Der Weedtrain der never ancame" (D 2025, 60min) + Konzert "Radium Palazzo"

In the organizer's words:

We proudly present: "The weed train that never ancame. A potato western about the downfall of industrial culture in the lively times of cannabis legalization."

A weed train is to come to the city - and calls the Heinis, their adversaries and the Sheriff of Leipzig West onto the scene. This quirky independent film leaves nothing to be desired: Alongside weed, skirmishes and a rollercoaster of emotions, there are unsparing insights, contemporary history and exquisite soundtracks.

How is Leipzig West changing and which last informal spaces are in transition? This mockumentary scrapes against reality and shows vivid scenes from bygone eras is true!

The WyrdTrainFilms entourage sets out to make a movie, turning ever wider circles. The starting point is the annual cinema cabaret for filmmakers, Kino Datsche 2024, followed by the expansion of plot and crew - demands and formats grow together. In the crazy belief in the compatibility of intentions and chaos magic on set, wonderful moments, blunt dialogs and coarse-subtle breakthroughs of genuine emotions are created. One constant: music that pushes you into your chair from local heroes Radium Palazzo and many more. The cannabis theme is currently relevant, the last ruins of Leipzig West are condemned to demolition and now both are archived on film!

- Film 7:30 pm in the Theatersaal
- Concert 9:00 pm (in the Konzertkeller KFK) by Radium Palazzo, whose music is the soundtrack to the film: for a long time, the essence of all music was considered lost in infinite space. Until today: three chosen cosmic avatars, reincarnations of the dragon, the lion and the kitchen boy, have a terrible time and decide to form a band. Differences of opinion arise and are settled on stage. With the help of their dervish powers on the guitar, another guitar and a drum kit, they tame the Radium Palazzo and channel it into unpredictable, bipolar and sometimes danceable instrumental rock music. https://radiumpalazzo.bandcamp.com/
