Experience the art of nude modeling in this special course led by Christa Baumgärtel. The group will work together to determine the position of the nude model and capture the shape and posture of the female torso in clay.

Modeling from a nude portrait has a long and important tradition in art history. As early as antiquity, the human body was used as a central motif for artistic representations in order to study and depict the anatomy, movement and expressiveness of the human torso. During the Renaissance, nude modelling reached a peak with artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, who revolutionized the understanding of the human body through their anatomical studies and sculptures.

In this course, special emphasis is placed on training and honing your vision to accurately render the fine details and proportions of the female torso. Step by step, you will learn how to model the characteristic features in an authentic and expressive way.

This course offers you the opportunity to sharpen your powers of observation and expand your sculpting skills. Whether you are a beginner or advanced - let your own creativity guide you and create a unique work of art.
