Richard Oehmann is a puppeteer, speaker, author and director. He has been one half of Doctor Döbler's tasteful Punch and Judy show since 1994, for which he has co-created, sung, spoken and directed 16 radio play albums and a music CD. He has written a children's book, various columns and three BR radio plays, and is also a singer and lyricist for the childish band Café Unterzucker. Richard Oehmann has received the Weilheim Culture Prize and, with Doctor Döblinger, the Schwabing Art Prize and the Bavarian Dialect Prize, as well as three Leopold Prizes with Café Unterzucker and a music scholarship from the City of Munich.
Since 2017, Oehmann has been part of the team of authors for the traditional politician derblecken at Munich's Nockherberg, and since 2018 he has been the lead director and author of the Nockherberg Singspiel together with Stefan Betz. In the course of the work, texts were repeatedly discarded, and two almost finished Singspiele were never shown, once because of the pandemic and once because of the attack on the Ukriane. In his readings, Oehmann now draws on this pool of unpublished to acclaimed Derbleckereien from recent years, including song texts, individual scenes and at least one of the canceled Singspiele.
