The country groans, the emperor rages: "What I've worn once, I won't wear a second time!" Emperor Casimir is dissatisfied and overlooks the fact that there is more to do in the land of "fried eggs" than stand in front of a mirror. "I want clothes like the world has never seen before!" He gets them, and now his people can see him as they have NEVER seen him before ...

An entertainingʹ fairy tale about vanity, truth and beautiful appearances.

k a n i n c h e n k a t z e - The marriage-like theater community specializes in theater for children and families. In the tradition of touring theater, they travel to daycare centers, elementary schools, theaters, libraries and neighborhood festivals. This makes them an integral part of Leipzig's independent theater scene. Using only seemingly simple means and largely dispensing with technical equipment (a production fits in a chest), they create worlds in which spectators can develop their imagination and emotional expressiveness. The fairy tale adaptations also focus on important themes of our time, such as justice and (co-)humanity, and are performed with love and humor in a light-hearted, musical way and with the involvement of the audience.
