Descarga Latina is a seven-piece band dedicated to Latin jazz. This is a mixture of typical jazz arrangements and Afro-Cuban percussion. You can hear compositions by Poncho Sánchez, Tito Puente and Dizzy Gillespie, masterfully interpreted by: Bettina Russmann on alto saxophone, Steve Wiseman on trumpet, Jean Philippe Tremblay on trombone, Amaru Garcia on drum set, Ariel Flórez on congas, Alfredo Silva on bass and Dietrich Husemann on piano. Jazz Latino is not just something for the "seat-groover" but is danceable in earnest.
