Works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Salomone Rossi, Arvo Pärt, Heinrich Schütz and others.

"Sing to the Lord", "Cantate Domino", "Shiru l'Adonai" ... the same words ring out from synagogues and churches: for centuries, the Psalms of David have been a source of faith and spirituality, a testimony to life experience and inspiration for singing - for people of Jewish and Christian faith. Psalms are song lyrics, so to speak, and have inspired many composers to create masterpieces. The Windsbach Boys' Choir and the Regensburger Domspatzen Girls' Choir bring this common foundation to life beyond denominational boundaries and sing psalms from "David's Songbook" in Hebrew, Latin and German settings from four centuries. In socially turbulent times, this concert is intended to highlight our common roots, promote mutual understanding and be a voice of diversity!

This concert will be recorded by Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Broadcast date at: www.deutschlandfunkkultur.de.

With the kind support of the Franconian Singers' Association and the Staedtler Foundation.
